About Organization:

SJAWO is an Afghan humanitarian organization that over the last 20 years has been taking active part in welfare works relating to Afghan people inside Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Since its creation in 1989, we completed various projects successfully in different sectors funded by different donors including UNHCR in the field of rehabilitation of Afghanistan by providing skill training to Afghan people inside Afghanistan and Afghan refugees in Pakistan with basic education

in literacy/numeracy, office management skill, computer science, agriculture, horticulture, irrigation, communication, relief works, distribution of food and non food items as relief items among the earth quake victims of Thakhar Badakhshan Afghanistan and the most vulnerable people in Kabul and some other provinces of Afghanistan. Moreover Afghan Refugees including most vulnerable people living in the camps of Peshawar Region and Kurram Agency were also provided requisite relief items. In addition to this, we carried out orphan sponsorship program in Pakistan and Afghanistan as well as construction/reconstruction works in the field of rebuilding of Afghanistan by different donors.

We are thankful to our donors who funded our projects for implementation from time to time in the past and even now for welfare of Afghan people who are still facing a complicated process of resettlement, construction/reconstruction works and development of Afghanistan.

Although this organization was remained as Implementing Partner for short period with different donors except UNHCR with whom we worked as implementing partner since 1991 without break till 31.12.2008 and they appreciated our performance.

In this connection appreciation letter of the head UNHCR sub-office Peshawar namely Mr. Roy Herrmann together with some more officers of UNHCR placed in website for information of the public.

In addition to above, we also owe a visitor book wherein officers of high level Government delegations and important personnel who used to visit our projects officially had appreciated our programs/performance vide their remarks in this respect recorded in the website of our organization.

The prolonged war in Afghanistan had brought many negative consequences among which destruction of the infrastructure including residential houses of the immigrants made the Afghan people helpless and involved them in compound and complicated problems from different corners. The post war Afghanistan needs assistance to survive and play role in its rehabilitation in every field.

This organization is fully aware of the need of Afghan people and believes that provision of vocational/skill training will help the Afghan people not only in overcoming shortage of skilled personnel but also make them productive member of their families with sustainable livelihood for passing life cheerfully.

SJAWO is working for mitigation of Afghan refugees on charitable basis in various sectors as certified by the Commissioner Afghan Refugee Peshawar Pakistan as well as Ministry of Foreign Affairs Government of Pakistan Islamabad.

SJAWO aims to help the Afghan nation in rebuilding of their country in pursuance of the objective mentioned in this activity report.

SJAWO owes adequate experience hand staff with machinery/equipment for execution of projects inside the country Afghanistan and Pakistan and facing no difficulty in execution of the projects in presence of such skilled/trained staff whose services were appreciated by all as stated above.
